Overview

Grus has six clay courts, a wooden clubhouse and members who have played there for fifty years. The club wanted to attract younger players without scaring off the old ones.

Approach

The identity takes its colour straight from the clay and its lines from the court markings. We photographed members at the end of the day, when the low sun throws long shadows across the courts.

Outcome

Junior membership doubled in two seasons, and the court signs have become the most photographed spot in the club.
